The studies suggest that about 40% of the technology startups in India are falling in the category of Ecommerce marketplace. This is the latest figure from the studies carried out by Internet and mobile association of India. The growth rate in between the year of 2011 to the year 2015 has reported to be 30% of the overall market cap that was Rs125000cr in 2011 and came close to Rs211000cr in the December ending of year 2015. The segmentation studies suggest that online shopping is still at the second place while online travel booking are leading with the market stake of Rs763500cr in the year ended.  

These studies clearly suggest that the growth of the ecommerce industry is going to dominate the IT sphere in the coming years.
